Monroe County Veterans Discount Card Program

Presently over 39 local area merchants have signed on to provide Monroe County’s more than 60,000 veterans with discounts on merchandise or services, or other special offers. This offer is extended to Monroe County’s honorably discharged veterans through a new discount card program. A list of participating merchants can be found at www.monroecounty.gov.. Click on departments at bottom of screen, then click on the veteran’s link.

Honorably discharged veterans can go directly to the Monroe County clerk’s office in the Monroe County Office Building, with their DD Form 214, and get their discount card immediately. An alternate method of obtaining the discount card is to make an appointment with the Monroe County Veterans Service Agency on 125 Westfall Rd. by calling (585) 753-6040 in order to get your photo taken for the card. (Note photos are taken only on Thursdays and Fridays.

Persons with ID cards i.e. active duty, retired, National Guard, or Reserves, need not apply. Merchants will accept these cards for the specials.

Any questions regarding this program can be addressed to me, Chip Perretta RCIL’s Veterans Outreach Advocate at (585) 442-6470.
